Brekka lodge is approximately 10 miles south of Lerwick. Take The A970 south for approximately 9 miles, pass by the villages of Gulberwick and Quarff. After exiting Quarff you will travel past the Fladdabister loch on your left, at the end of the straight taking the junction on the left marked Fladdabister. Travel along this single track road, past the windmill on your left, down the hill, through the hamlet of old crofters cottages, cross a small bridge and Brekka Lodge is the first wooden property on your left before reaching the passing place. Ample parking is available to the left of the drive at Brekka Lodge. The journey from Lerwick to Brekka Lodge will be approximately 10 minutes.
Take the A970 north, for approximately 16 miles. Travel through Cunningsburgh, passing the community hall and foot- ball pitch on the left, take the next junction on your right marked Fladdabister/Aithsetter, turn immediately left to Fladdabister/Ocraquoy. Travel along this road, pass two wooden houses on your right, bear right, take a sharp left, down a small hill, pass a junction to Ocraquoy on your right, pass the houses on your left, Brekka Lodge is the wooden property that stands on its own near the sea on your right. The journey from Sumburgh Airport to Brekka Lodge will be approximately 30 mins.
There is a local bus service which connects Lerwick with the Sumburgh Airport and vice versa (Bus Number 6). There
are two bus stops serving Brekka Lodge, one north and one south. If arriving by bus please let us know your approximate
time of arrival and we can will try to arrange to collect you from the bus stop. Each bus stop is located where the main road A970 interconnects with the loop road for Fladdabister. For bus times check the ZetTrans website
